Why Davis and Veemon?

This isn't because of the 'small' amount of Davis shrines out there or anything, I really, REALLY love this guy!! ^^ Davis has everything that Tai has (note: Tai rules!), but Davis has the 'spunk' that Tai didn't have. Davis isn't afraid to be who he is, and he doesn't hide his true personality either. When I see Davis, I see an unstoppable determined guy!

Davis is always there for the others, and never gives up - even when it looks like the end. He's a true friend to the rest of the group, even though they can be annoyed by him at times. And Veemon is simply the best digimon character I've seen!!

I like Davis because he has Tai's qualities which include:

Courage: Duh, he has the digimental of courage anyway. In short - "I'll never look back, I've got no regrets...I choose to go my own way" (there is the famous quote of Sonic...)
Ego: He thinks he can do anything...Just like Tai - "I'm invincible" (another quote, this time it's Boris off Goldeneye 007...or for all you anime fans it's Tuberoff from GUNDAM WING!!) Note - Lisa is a big time Gundam Wing fan!
The Hair: You just KNEW I was going to mention this, didn't you? His hair is all cute and spunky, half Tai/Izzy!! Awwwww....
Leadership: He knows what he's doing, and when he doesn't, he isn't afraid to go by instinct.
Clothes: His clothes RULE!! Espeically his school ones, and those goggles top it all off!

But why do people hate Davis? I can understand that people hate him because of his sister Jun (annoying, strange girl), or his razor voice, and that he likes Kari (and TK's meant for Kari or whatever) but I don't understand why people hate him. Is it because he looks like a "Tai Wannabe"?? Who knows..
